En algún momento todas hemos tenido la experiencia de hacernos cierto tipo de recorte, y que no se vea como imaginamos que quedaría. Ya que hayan sido cortes en el largo, cierto estilo en especifico o los tan deseados flequillos, en ocasiones esas inspiraciones nos llenan de expectativas y en realidad terminan resultando algo completamente diferente a lo que esperábamos. Por eso decidí hacer un escogido de los mejores cortes para complementar nuestra singular estructura facial. Hay unas cuantas opciones, las limite a cinco:
I think we’ve all experience those times when we’ve gotten certain cuts, and have felt it didn’t looked quite as good as we imagined it would. Either those we’re length cuts or just a trim of those much desired bangs, sometimes those inspiration images lead us way beyond our expectations, and reality ends up being very short compared to what we expected. That’s why I decided to narrow down the perfect cuts to compliment our unique face shape. There are a few different face shapes, I will narrow this to five of them:
Corazón / Heart shaped
Yo caigo en esta categoría. Esta forma esta caracterizada por ser mas ancha en el centro – en una linea imaginaria sobre los pómulos, un poco mas pequeña en la frente y con la barbilla un poco mas pronunciada. *El mejor corte para esta forma de cara es un fleco mas largo, estilizado hacia un lado; dividido un poco mas hacia el centro, nada muy corto o la cara se vera un poco desbalanceada.
I fall into this category. This face shape is characterized for being wider at the center – somewhere around the cheekbones, a little more narrow on the forehead and having a more pronounced chin. *The best cut for this shape is a side swept longer bang, parted slightly closer to the middle, nothing to short or the face looks unbalanced.
Ovalo / Oval shaped
Esta forma es una de las mas comunes y las que no tienen esta forma, tratan de obtenerla utilizando la técnica de contorno. Las personas que tienen esta forma pueden llevar los flecos rectos de un lado al otro, pero no muy cortos; debajo de la ceja. El corte balancea el espacio entre la frente y el resto de la cara, creando la ilusión de una cara mas pequeña.
This one is the most common one and the ones who doesn’t have it, try to achieve it by contouring and contouring even more. The ones who have this shape can rock out the straight cut longer bangs, from side to side. This cut balances the space between the forehead and the rest of the face, making the illusion of a smaller face.
Cuadrada / Square shaped
Esta forma es bastante fácil de identificar; se puede percibir claramente una corta distancia entre la barbilla y la quijada, creando un cuadrado mas notable en la parte de abajo de la cara. Esta forma puede llevar bien los flequillos rectos, ya sea corto encima de la ceja o mas largo, justo debajo de las cejas.
This shape is very easy to identify; there’s a small amount of distance between the jaw and the chin, making a more noticeable square on the bottom of the face. This face can rock both the really-short and below the brows straight cut bangs.
Redonda / Round shaped
Esta forma es un poco mas difícil de identificar, puede crear una confusion con la forma de corazón y la cuadrada. En esta, el ancho de la frente es solo un poco mas pequeño que el de la linea imaginaria creada en los pómulos (que en este caso es mas ancha). La distancia entre la barbilla y la quijada es mas corta, al igual que en la forma cuadrada, pero en este caso la quijada casi no se ve – no es tan prominente como en la forma cuadrada o de corazón. El corte de flecos perfecto para esta forma es el corte largo hacia un lado, partido mas en la sien que en el centro.
This shape is a little harder to identify, there may be confusion between the heart and square shape. In this one the forehead is just slightly smaller than the length of the middle part of the face (line on the cheekbones). The distance between the jaw and the chin is smaller as well as in the square shape, but in this case the jaw is almost unnoticeable – it’s not so prominent as in the square shape. The perfect bang cut for this kind of face is the long side swept style, parted more on the temple than the middle.
Triángulo / Triangle shaped
Esta forma es similar a la redonda, pero sin tantos cachetes y con la barbilla mas prominente. Esta forma se ve bien con casi todo tipo de fleco, pero el fleco mas largo que viene desde el lado opuesto y toca la barbilla es el mas que le favorece.
This one is similar to the round, but not so cheeky and with a prominent pointy chin. This face will look good with almost anything, but the long bang that hits the chin coming from the side is the one that flatters them the most.

This is just a little way to inform you of the choices you have according to your face, there’s no perfect way, so if you were thinking about getting some other kind of cut then go for it, as long as you like it then it’s all good!
